Live life to the fullest, carpe diem, grab the bull by the horns, blah blah blah! We’ve all heard it, thought about it even agreed with it but do we actually live it?
This last year there’s been A LOT of time for reflection. Time to work out what we’ve missed, daydreaming about where we’ll go first and who with, promising ourselves we’ll have better priorities, be more active and pursue more of our goals.
So what’s on your list? Learning to surf, skateboard, bungee jump? It doesn’t really matter what it is, the question is… what’s stopping you from actually doing it?
The truth is being a beginner as an adult is hard. We have THE FEAR! Fear of looking stupid, fear of hurting yourself, fear of not looking cool, fear of not being good enough, fear of falling flat on our arse in front of people!! And yet, if we actually try something new, something active, in reality the thrill usually outweighs the fear. The excitement of having a new experience, of facing your fear and doing it anyway. And then there’s the actual real life hormones at play. The adrenaline and endorphins that you will release are going to get you much higher than anything you can ever pay for!!!
